Description of the organization and its target audience
We are an upscale condominium complex on the Gold Coast of Long Island, New York.

We are looking for a logo refresh as our original logo was designed in 1987.

This logo will be used on communications going forward from the community, but most importantly, it will be updated on a brand new sign that will be at the front of the community (to replace the existing sign). This sign will be visible to all passersby and drivers down a busy road and should convey an elegant, upscale vibe against the backdrop of the beautiful nature in our town.

Other notes
I have attached two photos of our existing sign (the green sign) which contains our current logo. We are looking to bring the existing logo to the 21st century and modernize it. We'd like for the sign to be fitting of an upscale, luxury development.

We're looking for something simpler in terms of the graphic (perhaps just an updated swan [preference is for swan] or just trees, not both unless made simpler).

In terms of the text, we are open to how it looks but would like to keep the same font that is currently used, which is trajan pro_bold - I included the font in the materials.

The sign will changed to a black background and we would likely be updating the shape of the sign too (see attached black sign for a comparable shape, although still open to changes). When the sign is printed, the logo will be carved in gold.

It would be great to see the logo done in both the designer's chosen colors as well as just a B&W logo (or ideally gold on a black background) so that we can see how it will look on the sign, which is extremely important to us.
